“Loving Our Own Bones invites readers to claim the power and promise of spiritual dissent, and to nourish their own souls through the revolutionary art of radical self-love.”
Julia Watts Belser, author of “Loving our Own Bones: Disability Wisdom and the Spiritual Subversiveness of Knowing Ourselves Whole” was the Ware Lecturer at our 2024 UU General Assembly, and both her message and her beautiful way of using words and imagers deserve a deeper dive. The topic of how we understand bodies of all kinds is important for all of us, as a spiritual practice and a path for justice making. Rev. Laine will offer a book discussion this January/ February (probably 2 sessions by zoom). We need about 4 folks signed up in advance to make the group go.
If you think you would like to be part of the group, please fill out this survey so we can choose the best date(s).

Rev. Laine will purchase a couple of copies of the book to share around for folks who are not going to order their own copy so we can have time to start reading. To request to borrow a copy, please contact Rev. Laine.
