Covid Policy
Effective immediately, masking is optional for all church activities.
The following policy is based on the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) latest COVID-19 guideline.
- Masking is optional.
- Everyone is advised to evaluate their individual risk and take appropriate precautions.
- We do not require proof of vaccination, but we encourage every eligible person to get vaccinated.
- If you choose to wear a mask, we highly recommend KN95, KFN95 or equivalent.
- If you are ill, or have recently been ill with symptoms of Covid-19, or if you have been in contact with someone who has, or may have Covid-19, please attend church virtually instead of coming in person.
We strive to keep our most vulnerable safe by adding these additional safety measures.
- Two HEPA air purifiers will be running in the sanctuary. As a structural benefit, our sanctuary has a high ceiling that allows for good air circulation.
- High quality N95 masks, hand sanitizers, antiseptic wipes and social distance cards will be available at the Welcome Table for those who wish to use them.
- Microphones will be positioned at least ten feet from the nearest seats in the sanctuary.
- HEPA air purifiers will be running in any occupied gathering room (social room, upstairs meeting room) to improve air quality.
NOTE: Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 within one week after attending an in-person UUCAS event MUST notify the President of the Board (president@uucas.org). We will notify congregants who may have been exposed. The UUCAS Board of Trustees will actively monitor and update this policy as required.
